About the Role:

You will play a key role in supporting environmental compliance and advancing sustainability outcomes across our operations. Working closely with the Sustainability and Project Manager, you will contribute to the implementation of Environmental Management Plans, Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) initiatives, emissions reduction programs, and sustainable farming practices.

 

This role involves monitoring compliance, conducting audits, supporting incident management, and driving continuous improvement across sites. You will also engage with stakeholders and assist in identifying and coordinating grant and funding opportunities.

 

This position is critical to strengthening environmental performance and supporting the long-term sustainability of our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor environmental performance and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, approvals, and internal policies
  • Coordinate environmental monitoring, reporting, audits, and risk assessments
  • Support the investigation and resolution of environmental incidents and complaints
  • Promote sustainable farming practices to improve resource efficiency and minimise environmental impact
  • Contribute to emissions reduction and carbon-related initiatives
  • Provide guidance and support to site teams to ensure environmental requirements are understood and applied
  • Support the development and implementation of Environmental Management Plans and ESG initiatives
  • Identify environmental risks and implement mitigation and corrective actions
    Manage environmental permits, licences, and approvals, and support project compliance
  • Build and maintain relationships with regulators, government agencies, and external stakeholders
  • Deliver environmental training and promote awareness across site teams
  • Develop training materials and resources to support compliance and sustainability initiatives
  • Identify and support grant and funding opportunities, including applications and reporting

What we are looking for:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Agriculture, or similar
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar environmental or sustainability role
  • Strong experience in environmental compliance, approvals, and regulatory requirements across operations
  • Experience developing and implementing Environmental Management Plans and sustainability initiatives
  • Experience managing grant applications and funding programs
  • Sound knowledge of Australian environmental legislation and regulatory frameworks
  • Well-developed analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into practical outcomes
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • High-level written communication and reporting capability
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage compliance documentation effectively
  • Willingness and ability to undertake interstate travel as required
