The business is involved with a broad range of other agricultural enterprises such as grain, compost and feed mill operations. We are currently seeking a skilled individual to fill this role in a full-time capacity, based in Pittsworth, QLD. Key Responsibilities: - Develop, review, and maintain weekly and long-term maintenance schedules for packing floor assets.
- Plan and prepare detailed job plans for preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities.
- Coordinate planned downtime windows with Production and QA to minimise disruption to packing operations.
- Forecast upcoming maintenance requirements based on equipment usage, trends, and reliability data.
- Maintain a visible maintenance calendar and communicate upcoming works with all stakeholders.
- Conduct routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting on MOBA egg grading machines and associated plant equipment to ensure reliable performance.
- Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance functions in accordance with the engineering maintenance plan, documenting all work accurately.
- Utilise the MEX Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for accurate record keeping, work order management, and parts requisition.
- Manage tools, spare parts, and materials effectively, ensuring availability for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks.
- Communicate and collaborate with production and operations staff to align maintenance activities with production requirements and minimise disruption.
- Maintain compliance with engineering standards, WHS regulations, and company policies, ensuring all work meets specifications and safety requirements.
- Liaise with engineering and equipment suppliers to support integration of new systems, upgrades, or modifications to existing machinery.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to optimise machinery performance and reduce operational costs.
- Maintain work areas, tools, and equipment in a safe, clean, and organised condition in line with workplace health and safety practices.
- Provide guidance and training to operators and production staff on basic equipment care, safe use, and reporting of maintenance issues.
Requirements: - Trade or Engineering qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics discipline (required).
- 3–5 years’ experience in maintenance or planning within a food processing, poultry, or FMCG environment.
- Experience with automated packing lines, conveyors, and graders highly regarded.
- Exposure to reliability or continuous improvement projects are desirable.
- Knowledge of HACCP, biosecurity, and food safety compliance (advantageous).
