McLean Farms is seeking an experienced Egg Grading and Packing Floor Manager to support the day-to-day operations of our Grading and Packing Facility. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment and enjoys supporting teams, maintaining high standards, and driving continuous improvement. About the Role Reporting to the Grading and Packing Manager, the Grading and Packing 2IC plays a key role in overseeing grading and packing operations, coordinating team activities, and ensuring production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are consistently met. You will act as a key support to the team, while leading by example on the floor, contributing to operational efficiency and a positive team culture. Key Responsibilities Grading & Packing Operations - Oversee daily grading and packing activities to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and quality outcomes
- Monitor production processes and conduct regular quality checks
- Address issues promptly and implement corrective actions where required
- Maintain accurate production, quality, and incident records
Team Leadership & Coordination - Allocate tasks and coordinate team activities to support smooth workflow
- Provide guidance, coaching, and on-the-job training to team members
- Foster a collaborative, compliant, and productive work environment
Safety, Compliance & Quality - Promote safe work practices and proactively identify hazards
- Ensure compliance with food safety, WHS, and biosecurity requirements
- Support SOPs, best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives
Inventory, Equipment & Resources - Monitor stock levels of packaging materials and supplies
- Ensure plant, equipment, and infrastructure are maintained and defects reported
- Coordinate routine equipment checks and maintenance records
Planning, Reporting & Improvement - Assist with work scheduling and monitoring production performance
- Review operational data and contribute to efficiency improvements
- Communicate clearly with management and team members
About You You will bring: - Minimum 3 years’ experience in a supervisory or senior operational role within food manufacturing, agriculture, or a similar production environment
- Experience in grading, packing, or quality-controlled production operations
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- A solid understanding of WHS, food safety, and quality standards
- Confidence working in a fast-paced environment and supporting continuous improvement
- Ability to maintain accurate records and reports
