McLean Farms is seeking a proactive and committed WHS Assistant to support the implementation of WHS initiatives across our sites. About the Role 
As our WHS Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting the safety strategy and ensuring compliance with legislative requirements across all McLean Farms locations. 

Your key responsibilities will include: 

  • Supporting WHS systems and culture, including implementation of safety initiatives. 
  • Providing technical advice and training on WHS legislation and internal processes. 
  • Conducting regular site visits, audits, and inspections. 
  • Assisting with incident investigations, corrective actions, and closeouts. 
  • Supporting Return to Work (RTW) programs and WorkCover-related tasks. 
  • Contributing to continuous improvement of WHS documentation and site-specific procedures. 
  • Engaging with teams and leading safety discussions and initiatives. 

 

What We’re Looking For: 

  • Cert IV in Work Health and Safety (or working towards) is essential. 
  • Cert IV in training and assessment is desired but not essential. 
  • Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, standards, and codes. 
  • Experience with safety audits, incident investigation, and risk assessment. 
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills. 
  • A current Class “C” driver’s licence and a clean driving record. 
  • A collaborative approach and a passion for building a positive safety culture.
