McLean Farms Staff Pty Ltd, a part of the ‘McLean Farms’ group, is a diversified family-owned agri-business based in Pittsworth, 30 minutes Southwest of Toowoomba. Specialising in livestock and food production, the business is involved with a broad range of agricultural enterprises such as grain, compost, and feed mill operations.

We are seeking to fill the vacant position of Poultry Services Crew Member in a full-time capacity. As a Poultry Services Crew Member you will be responsible for assisting the Poultry Services Manager and Leading Hand to achieve the effective and efficient utilisation of resources to move and vaccinate birds. 

Daily duties will include but not be limited to:

• Bird placement transfer and relocation.
• Vaccination of birds.
• Cleaning and maintenance of bird shifting trolleys, vaccination equipment, and vehicles.
• Assist with shed cleaning and turnaround.
• Other tasks as directed by the Leading Hand or Poultry Services Manager.

About you:

• Current valid drivers’ licence.
• Good attention to detail.
• Be prepared to work as part of a team but be able to work autonomously when required.
• Good organisational and time management skills, with the ability to carry out a range of different tasks.
• Good inter-personal skills, able to work co-operatively with internal and external contacts.
• Willingness to adhere to all health and safety, biosecurity and operational requirements.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and motivated.
• Previous experience in the poultry industry is not essential, but would be highly regarded.

You may be required to work reasonable overtime to meet operational demands. You must be able to work weekends and public holidays as per a rotating roster.
