Packing Floor Production Administrator

McLean Farms is a diversified family-owned agri-business based in Pittsworth, 30 minutes Southwest of Toowoomba. Specialising in livestock and food production, the business is involved with a broad range of agricultural enterprises such as grain, compost and feed mill operations. We are currently seeking a Packing Floor Production Administrator to join the team in a full-time capacity at our Grading and Packing Facility.

 

About the role

 

The Packing Floor Production Administrator serves as a critical support figure for the Grading and Packing Floor Manager at the Grading and Packing Facility. This role involves providing administrative assistance, managing communication, and overseeing the workflow of the administrative team. You will be a dynamic self-starter and be passionate about supporting a collaborative working environment, in line with our culture and values. 

 

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Grading and Packing Floor Manager, including calendar management, meeting coordination, and travel arrangements.
  • Act as a primary point of contact between the Grading and Packing Floor Manager and internal/external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate tasks and projects on behalf of the Grading and Packing Floor Manager.
  • Anticipate needs and proactively address issues to facilitate smooth operations.
  • Directly manage administrative personnel, providing guidance, training, and support.
  • Organise and maintain confidential documents, records, and reports.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations and other documentation as needed.
  • Prepare agendas, document meeting minutes, and follow up on action items.
  • Collaborate with the administrative team to implement changes that enhance efficiency.

To be successful in this role, you will need the following skills and attributes:

  • Strong leadership and conflict management skills.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with workers of all levels and abilities.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with the Microsoft suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong communication skills, ability to write reports and correspondence, ability to speak clearly and effectively with internal and external contacts.
  • Strong reasoning ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations.
