McLean Farms is a diversified family-owned agri-business based in Pittsworth, 30 minutes Southwest of Toowoomba. Specializing in livestock and food production, the business is involved with a broad range of agricultural enterprises such as grain, compost and feed mill operations. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Automation and Egg Collection Systems Technician to join our dynamic team in a full-time capacity.

As the Poultry general maintenance attendant, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations and upkeep of our poultry farms. This key role requires a maintenance background, a passion for animal welfare and sustainable farming practices.

Daily duties will include but not be limited to:

• Conduct regular preventive maintenance inspections as per the site schedules to identify wear and tear.
• Attend breakdowns and assist with general repairs.
• Conduct regular inspections and assessments of the farm facilities, equipment, and infrastructure to ensure they meet safety and regulatory requirements.
• Perform regular prestart checks on farm equipment.
• Documenting maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment servicing
• Assist the maintenance planner in maintaining an inventory of spare parts and supplies for efficient management.
• Performing routine cleaning and disinfection of maintenance equipment, and facilities to maintain good hygiene.
• Conducting minor repairs, adjustments, and replacements on farm machinery, feeding systems, ventilation equipment, and other tools to prevent breakdowns and disruptions to operations.
• Monitor and maintain strict adherence to animal welfare standards and biosecurity protocols.

• Proficient in record-keeping and data analysis for farm management purposes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with staff, suppliers, and stakeholders.
• Ability to work autonomously.
