This is an exciting entry-level opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience and build a long-term career within Human Resources. No prior HR experience is required. We are looking for someone with the right attitude, willingness to learn, and passion for working with people. You will receive ongoing training, mentoring, and exposure across a wide range of HR functions within a large and diverse Australian business. About the Role As a Junior Human Resource Assistant, you will support the day-to-day operations of the People & Culture team while learning all aspects of Human Resources administration and coordination. You will gain practical experience across recruitment, onboarding, employee records, compliance, workplace communication, and HR administration. This role is ideal for someone who is organised, people-focused, eager to learn, and looking for a genuine career pathway within Human Resources. What You’ll Be Doing - Supporting recruitment activities including advertising, candidate communication, and interview coordination
- Assisting with the onboarding of new employees and coordinating employee inductions
- Maintaining employee records and HR documentation
- Providing administrative support to the People & Culture team
- Assisting with employee engagement initiatives and workplace programs
- Supporting payroll administration and compliance activities
- Learning about employment legislation, Awards, and HR processes
- Assisting with HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives
- Building positive working relationships with employees and leaders across the business
About You We are looking for someone who is motivated, eager to learn, and enjoys working in a team environment. To be successful, you will ideally have: - A genuine interest in pursuing a career in Human Resources
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Strong computer and administration skills
- The ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
- The ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Completion of Year 12 (preferred)
- Current or future study in Human Resources, Business, or Administration is advantageous but not essential
