About the Role As a Human Resource Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the People & Culture function. You will be involved in a broad range of HR activities, providing hands-on support across recruitment, onboarding, compliance, payroll administration, employee engagement, and HR projects. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a people-focused environment, enjoys variety in their day, and is passionate about building a long-term career within Human Resources. What You’ll Be Doing - Supporting end-to-end recruitment activities, including advertising, screening of resumes and candidate communication.
- Managing the end-to-end onboarding process.
- Maintaining accurate employee records and HR documentation
- Providing day-to-day administrative support to the People & Culture team
- Assisting with employee engagement initiatives.
- Supporting HR projects, policy updates, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assisting with payroll processing and wage compliance checks.
- Supporting award interpretation and ensuring compliance with National Employment Standards and Fair Work Acts.
- Building positive working relationships with employees and leaders across the business
About You You are organised, proactive, and enjoy working with people. You have a strong attention to detail, can manage competing priorities, and are eager to continue developing your HR knowledge and capability. To be successful, you will ideally have: - Minimum 2 years’ experience within a Human Resources
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A professional and confidential approach when handling sensitive information
- Strong administration and computer skills
- The ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the business
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline (advantageous)
- A genuine desire to grow and develop your career within Human Resources
